Speaker Relations Lead

 What you will do:

  • Proactively lead the directors and reach out to potential speakers who align with the TEDxUTSC mission to create courageous storytelling, ensuring their ideas reflect the event theme

  • Develop and nurture long-term relationships with selected speakers, providing guidance and support throughout the entire curation process.

  • Organize and lead speaker rehearsals, offering constructive feedback to ensure each speaker delivers their message with clarity, impact, and authenticity.

  • Ensure that all speaker talks align with TEDx’s global guidelines, refining them to resonate deeply with diverse audiences, fostering transformation and meaningful dialogue.

  • Help create an environment where speakers feel empowered to share bold ideas that spark conversations that outlive the stage.

What we are looking for

  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport, provide feedback, and facilitate conversations that encourage reflection and growth.

  • Experience in public speaking, coaching, or content development is highly valued, enabling effective guidance for speakers.

  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams while also demonstrating leadership in the speaker curation process.

  • Proactive in finding opportunities to improve the speaker journey and independent in managing tasks with minimal supervision.

  • Strong time management skills with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines while ensuring the timely preparation of speakers and the overall event success.
