Operations Lead

 What you will do:

  • Collaborate with faculty and campus partners to optimize venue layouts, manage event capacity and accessibility, and address special requirements, ensuring a seamless and inclusive attendee experience.

  • Oversee vendor sourcing, contracting, and coordination for catering, merchandise, and experiential services (e.g., dessert stations, photo booths), securing commitments in advance to ensure smooth execution.

  • Supervise setup and teardown operations in collaboration with production and volunteer teams, maintaining strict adherence to event timelines and ensuring professional presentation.

  • Manage inventory and event materials such as signage, brochures, and promotional items, ensuring organized storage, easy access, and consistent branding throughout the year.

  • Lead volunteer coordination year-round, distributing responsibilities strategically, the for MBM to align on planning, timelines, and on-site execution logistics for flagship events.

What we are looking for

  • Demonstrated experience in operations management and end-to-end event planning, with a track record of successful event execution.

  • Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong communication and negotiation abilities, with a proven experience of cultivating and maintaining vendor relationships.

  • Ability to remain resilient under pressure, taking a proactive approach to problem-solving and resolving challenges within a team.

  • Detail-oriented, with a deep passion for creating high-quality, engaging attendee experiences.
